Dr Kathy’s Secret to Total Facial Rejuvenation

As an aesthetic physician, every day I see clients who want to improve their appearance, however they often aren’t sure which features they would like to enhance. Sometimes, they indicate a certain area or feature they would like to change, but this will rarely be the entire story. In the skin-health and wellness industry it’s important to understand the emotional motivations of each client to ensure the best possible treatment outcome and higher client satisfaction.

It’s no secret that I favor the MD Codes approach as a means of assessing and treating clients with cosmetic injectables. Using this approach, I take into consideration how the client feels to create a treatment plan that addresses all of their underlying concerns.

There are eight emotional attributes that have been identified as facial characteristics clients may wish to work on. Once these areas have been identified, we can create a tailored treatment plan and address the relevant areas using dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.

Using this method, initially we must remove the negative messages from the face. This involves making the client appear “less saggy”, “less tired”, “less sad” and “less angry”. Once we’ve reached a certain point in the treatment journey, we can turn our attention to enhancing positive emotional attributes; working to make the client look “younger”, “more attractive”, “slimmer or more contoured” and “more feminine or masculine”.

Treatments based on the MD Codes method of assessment take a holistic approach to improving a client’s overall facial appearance. Addressing these emotional attributes, can achieve so much more than simply filling a line or plumping the lips, it allows us to create natural-looking results and a beautifully refreshed appearance.
