Everything you need to know about beauty boosters

Looking to boost your skin’s hydration, smooth its texture or simply achieve a naturally more rejuvenated complexion? Beauty boosters are a simple but effective treatment that deliver nearly instant results. Here’s everything you need to know:

What are beauty boosters?

Beauty boosters, otherwise known as skin hydrators, are micro injections of dermal filler that reintroduce hyaluronic acid into the skin to improve quality by boosting hydration and elasticity, smoothing skin texture, and reducing fine lines and imperfections such as acne scarring.

What areas can be treated with beauty boosters?

Beauty boosters can be used to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

Who is suitable for beauty boosters?

All skin types are suitable for beauty boosters but they are particularly suited for anyone with rough and dehydrated skin, fine lines, and mild to moderate acne scarring.

How are beauty boosters different from dermal fillers?

Traditional dermal fillers are injected beneath the skin to enhance volume or shape. Beauty boosters however, are injected into the skin to hydrate and improve skin quality, rather than to lift and enhance.

How many treatments will I need?

Treatments vary per client, however generally, a course of two to three treatments spaced monthly per area is recommended.

Is it painful?

There is very little pain as beauty boosters are injected into the face with a cannula (blunt needle via a single insertion point). On the neck, décolletage and hands a needle is used, however the area has anaesthetic applied prior to treatment.

Is there downtime involved post-treatment?

There is almost no downtime. As is the case when putting needle to skin, there is always a risk of bruising and very slight swelling. There may also be two to four small puncture marks on the face.

Can I use beauty boosters in conjunction with my other filler treatments?

Beauty boosters can be used independently or in conjunction with other treatments as part of your overall treatment plan.

Can I have beauty boosters if I’m pregnant?

No. We do not do any dermal fillers while clients are pregnant.

Do I need a prescription for beauty boosters?

Yes. Beauty boosters fall under the classification of an S4 medication.
