Fraxel + Hydrafacial: Reveal your resurfaced skin in four weeks

Fraxel and HydraFacial treatment model

Fraxel® is the laser treatment to rejuvenate aged, wrinkled or sun-damaged skin. It’s one of our advanced treatments at Artisan and for good reason. Our Fraxel® Dual Laser is a non-ablative fractionated laser that rejuvenates the skin by creating micro-injuries to stimulate the production of new skin cells and collagen. It targets deeper wrinkles, acne scars and pigmented lesions to rejuvenate skin health.

Fraxel® can deliver noticeably younger look without surgery. Results are usually both immediate and progressive, meaning you can often see a noticeable difference from a single treatment – however many clients continue to perform the treatment annually to maintain their skin health.

Some of the benefits a Fraxel® treatment can offer include:

  • A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles such as crow’s feet and brow lines
  • Less surface scarring, whether it be from acne or surgical
  • Faded pigmentation from age spots, sunspots or other forms of pigmentation
  • Lessens the appearance of actinic keratosis, a common pre-cancerous skin condition

The treatment usually required up to 7 days of downtime, as it triggers the body’s natural healing response to rejuvenate skin health

How do Fraxel® treatments work?

Fraxel® is the original fractional skin resurfacing laser and targets deeper wrinkles, acne scars and pigmented lesions to rejuvenate skin health. It treats the skin by penetrating the top layer a fraction at a time, via hundreds of microscopic columns. This works to stimulate the body’s natural repair and renewal process.

In the days post-treatment, damaged skin cells are brought to the surface and shed, and over the coming weeks, fresh collagen is produced which result in a smoother, plumper and more youthful complexion.

What to expect from your Fraxel® treatment?

This treatment comes with downtime and needs to be scheduled at convenient time in your social calendar. During the healing phase of around seven days, the first three to four are the most obvious.

Post treatment, your skin will be extremely red with a sunburnt feeling. Mild swelling starts post treatment and peaks the morning after, lasting a day or so. Your skin will feel rough for up to a week as your skin sheds the dead and damaged skin cells, leaving fresh, vibrant and healthy skin.

Autumn is a popular time to book in for this treatment. Reverse the damage of those summer months and take advantage of upcoming school holidays and public holidays (Easter weekend and ANZAC Day). April is always a busy time of year for Artisan, so if you’re wanting to take advantage of the upcoming holidays and experience our more powerful treatments that come with a little downtime, now is the best time to book.

When it comes to taking care of your skin, it’s important to remember that your face isn’t the only area that needs attention, so Fraxel® is also available on neck, decolletage and hands.
