Chin sculpting injections contain synthesised deoxycholic acid, which occurs naturally in the body and aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected below the chin, it begins to destroy and permanently eliminate fat cells.

Most clients will require a minimum of two treatments to achieve the desired result. Results vary depending on the area treated. They are typically visible after two to four treatments and are optimal after eight weeks. Results last up to four years.

Avoid blood-thinning medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oil, one week prior

Advise your clinician if you:

Are older than 65 years of age
Have had major surgery or treatments at the treatment area

Prior to your first treatment, our doctor will consult with you to assess your suitability for chin sculpting injections and discuss any concerns or questions you may have. 

The procedure involves a series of tiny injections of the prescribed product being administered directly into the fatty tissue of the chin, jawline or neck. This is very quick and over in a few minutes. Local anaesthetic may be injected to minimise discomfort.

Anyone who:

Has a soybean allergy
Is hypersensitive to ingredients including deoxycholic acid
Is pregnant or breastfeeding
Is under the age of 18
Is diabetic
Has vascular, autoimmune, liver or renal disease
Has an acute systemic infection or is a a chronic infection risk
Has immunosuppression
Has an active infection in the treatment area
Has keloid scarring
Is currently taking Roaccutane

Swelling, pain, itching, tingling or prickling, and sensitivity to pressure and excessive warmth in the treatment area which is usually resolved within two to five days.

After the Chin Sculpting treatment, the treated area will be swollen for several days as the prescribed product begins to take effect. It is fine to cover the treatment area with clothing during this time. We advise to:

Ice the area as needed
Take paracetamol, if required
