Achieving event ready skin has always been a challenge for me. With 4am wake ups, night-time TV commitments and hours of wearing industrial-strength makeup, you can imagine the stress that my skin experiences. And with cameras at every event I attend, I need to look my best.
Recently I had my yearly radio show photoshoot. These photos are used on all of our promotional material for the year ahead. If the shots aren’t great, you’re risking a year of the images haunting you at every turn; the pressure was on for me to look my best.
Artisan looks after my skin on a weekly basis, but when I have a big event in the diary I like to step it up a notch. With loads of exciting times on the horizon, (who has a race day or two to attend over the next few weeks?!) I wanted to share the routine I used to achieve event ready skin.
My Artisan routine
What I wanted to target
As soon as I’m stressed, you see it on my face . I experience breakouts, my skin becomes red and blotchy and I get very dry around the T-area.
One-week out
My Artisan glam team recommended their Resurface & Rejuvenate package which includes a Laser Genesis™, a medical grade facial and LED Light Therapy to reduce redness, detoxify congestion and heal my inflamed skin.
The day before
My dermal therapists monitored my skin over the next week to see if it needed anything extra in the lead up to my big event. I ended up having a hyaluronic mask and LED Light Therapy one day out for an instant infusion of juicy goodness and a plump, hydrated look!
The results
You be the judge. My skin felt instantly tighter after my treatments and they cleared my forehead breakouts right up. I also looked fresh and plump for the big day and my makeup glided on.
My tip
Let the Artisan experts guide you when it comes to choosing a treatment. I had booked in for a HydraFacial MD™, thinking that was what my skin needed but the treatment they recommended turned out to be 1000 times better for my inflamed complexion, and it still imparted my skin with that coveted glow.
Artisan has plenty of treatment options for a last-minute glow-up, but if you have a big event coming up, aim to see the Artisan team as soon as you can, just in case!
